INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS

 

§         Manuscripts must follow APA style. See: Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, Fifth Edition, 2001 (http://www.apastyle.org/pubmanual.html).

 

§         Please include an abstract, a short biographical statement, and contact information with each submission.

 

§         Lengthy quotations (more than 300 words from one source) and adaptations of tables and figures require written permission from copyright holders. Authors are responsible for securing permission. A copy of the publisher’s written permission must be provided to the Editor prior to acceptance of the article for publication

 

§         Authors bear full responsibility for the accuracy of references, quotations, tables, and figures.

 

§         Authors submitting transcripts of actual cases must include a signed acknowledgement that client informed consent has been secured.

 

§         Do not submit previously published material or material that is under consideration by another periodical.

 

§         Send manuscripts in one attachment to jcornelius-white@missouristate.edu; or, submit two copies of the manuscript and a 3.5” disk copy or CD to Jeffrey H. D. Cornelius-White, Missouri State University, Department of Counseling, 901 S. National Ave., Springfield, MO 65897.

 

§         All manuscripts are evaluated by at least two editorial reviewers.

 

§         The PCJ editorial staff offers presubmission consultation. If you have ideas for articles or questions about the quality or appropriateness of a piece for The PCJ, please write to the Editor at jcornelius-white@missouristate.edu.

 

§         The PCJ has an open review policy. Authors receive reviewers’ responses and names. Requests for anonymous review must be made explicitly.
