1. Mutual enjoyment and liking of one another.

2. Mutual natural generosity towards one another.

3. Mutual romantic attraction for each other.

4. Easy and honest communication with one another.

5. Partners experience peace and oneness in being together.

6. Sufficiently frequent expressions of affection and warmth towards one another.

7. Compatible sexual styles and mutual sexual fulfillment.

8. Shared core values such as world-view and life purposes.

9. Comfort with one another’s differences of behavior, lifestyle, taste, and

preference.

10. The acceptance of the worst in one another, including the degree and extent to which the other "disappoints" them.

11. Mutual respect, caring, and support for one another.

12. Playfulness together.

13. Mutual interest in commitment to one another.

14. Capacity to share a living space together satisfactorily.

15. Mutual comfort with solitude, and allowance for space-taking.

16. The capacity for collaboration together in planning and deciding.

17. Shared perspective on the how’s and whethers of parenting.

18. Resiliency of each of the partners to life’s varied challenges.

19. A satisfactory means of surviving economically and practically.

20. External emotional support for each of the partners.
